“Six feet of dirt make all men equal.” —Charles Spurgeon

In Solomon’s seemingly never ending quest for happiness, Solomon now searches for fulfillment by building!

Ecc 2:4  I enlarged my works: I built houses for myself, I planted vineyards for myself;

Ecc 2:5  I made gardens and parks for myself and I planted in them all kinds of fruit trees;

This was also a dead end.  But it should also make us look inwardly at ourselves; we have been conditioned to be home owners.  The bigger the house, or the nicer the neighborhood you live in; the higher your social status is!  But as Solomon found out, and something we should take note of, that is an empty endeavor as well.  We can live in different houses, but our graves are all the same size!
