Ecclesiastes points out a bad situation that can happen when one bogarts all their wealth:  

Ecc 5:13  There is another serious problem I have seen under the sun. Hoarding riches harms the saver.

Ecc 5:14  Money is put into risky investments that turn sour, and everything is lost. In the end, there is nothing left to pass on to one’s children.

This is definitely something we should pay close attention to, we remember the recession of 2008, or worse yet the depression of the 30s.  Careful discernment is called for when it comes to one’s wealth, because no one wants to leave their kids penniless.
