Today’s Word points to the inevitable bad times of life. Reminding us that not everything is going to “rosy and cosy”
Ecc 11:3 When clouds are heavy, the rains come down. Whether a tree falls north or south, it stays where it falls.
The first half there assures us that rains are gonna come, we are going to hit bad seasons of life, and while there are dark days, there are sunny one’s too. But both come from God.
Meanwhile the second portion of our scripture today “Whether a tree falls north or south, it stays where it falls” is a metaphor of our lives. We can be rich or we can be poor, no matter our circumstances, we are all headed for the same grave.
While this inevitability of life sounds harsh, it is a reality. Christ is the only One who ever beat death, but we can know Him eternally when we put our trust in His death and resurrection!
