The wicked nations get a rude awakening in today’s verse that shows how their bad intentions will boomerang back on them

Psa 9:15  The nations have sunk down in the pit which they have made; In the net which they hid, their own foot has been caught.

The evil that these ungodly nations cast out comes back against them, a metaphor here that shouldn’t be lost on us either.  When we push evil out on to others, it always seems to find it’s way back to us.  

Paul has some good sentiments on this as well in his letter to the Colossians:

Col 3:5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

God doesn’t look favorably on evil nations or evil people.  We are better off living Christlike, or meek and humble lives that are dedicated to serving others rather than serving ourselves.
