Today’s Psalms discusses the comeuppance that the wicked get for oppressing God’s people

Psa 14:4  Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread and wouldn’t think of praying to the LORD.

Psa 14:5  Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him.

A beautiful truth awaits those who trust and obey God, God is with them.  This is a great  reassurance for those who face persecution from the world.  

The wicked foolheartedly go about oppressing others, and taking advantage of them, which is a historical truth, ever since the beginning of time, man has found different ways to oppress others, but God will ultimately oppress the oppressors and deliver those who who are taken advantage of, and that is the real deal; all the wicked rulers over time have come and gone, but God reigns forever and our eternal assurance is that we will be a part of His eternal kingdom when we trust Jesus.
