Great messaging in our Psalms today that shows us how God’s Word shows us The Way:  

Psa 16:7  I will bless the LORD who has counseled me; Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.

The Psalm tells us, I will give praise to God who has shown me the way, who has lit up my path, and given me a reference for good things versus evil.  These things are made known us through God’s Revelation to us; The Bible, reading the Bible, reading about Christ’s redemption, this is how God counsels us.  

The Psalm then goes onto say, Indeed, my mind instructs me at night.  Night time is typically when we were are vulnerable.  If we look at when bad things tend to happen and danger lurks, it is at night, so night is like a metaphor for venturing out into dangerous territory, but when we are armed with God’s Truth, that Truth manifests itself in our minds to instruct us, and protect us.  It helps us to discern, which is to recognize dangerous and sinful situations, and how to avoid them.
