Our Psalms today demonstrate how God’s Word keeps us on the straight and narrow:

Psa 17:4  I have followed your commands, which keep me from following cruel and evil people.

There are all sorts of wicked people that are celebrated today as celebrities, athletes, movies stars, rock stars – and we even call them idols, we have actually made a show called “American idol” because we are so covetous of their extravagant lifestyles, however the Bible reveals that those decadent ways are sinful.  Having multiple partners, getting drunk, ruining our bodies with drugs is seemingly glorified today, but God’s Word tells us that is a sin, and as today’s scripture says, God’s commandments ensure that we follow God, and not cruel and evil people.
