Psalms 19:4b-6 – The Sunrise and Sunset Speaks To God’s Glory

David uses some descriptive poetry today as he continues to be awed by the heavens and the sun, God’s creation and uses it to describe the triumphant trek the sun makes across the sky each day:

Psalms 19:4b-6: In the sky God has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.  Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

The sun’s rises from one end to the other, and is unstoppable, like the gallant racehorse, the sun goes, unfettered from one part of the sky to the other, and nothing can escape the suns heat.

David marvels at God’s handiwork – This all points back to God’s glory being magnified through His creation, in this case how the sun moves unstoppably across the sky.
