More incredibly accurate prophecies in the Messianic Psalms today, so far these have been prophecies about what Jesus has said and was feeling, like yesterday we covered the despair and loneliness Christ felt when He was being mocked just before He died on the cross.
Today’s Psalms show us what the mockers were actually saying, again – remarkable seeing how this Psalm was written by David back in 1000 BC, that’s one thousand years before any of it happened; here are David’s words:
Psa 22:7 All who see me sneer at me; They separate with the lip, they wag the head, saying,
Psa 22:8 “Commit yourself to the LORD; let Him deliver him; Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.”
Now when we look at that through the lens of what actually happened at Calgary, it is 100% accurate. Fastfowarding now 1000 years later to 33 AD, the year that Christ was crucified and this is what the New Testament’s eye witness account of Matthew gives us:
Matthew 27 v39 — And those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads
And then five verses later the haters are quoted in verse 43 “HE TRUSTS IN GOD; LET GOD RESCUE Him now, IF HE DELIGHTS IN HIM; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.'”
the Bible once again proves itself with more accuracy that any time machine can ever give us, David, through the Holy Spirit, because all scripture is inspired by The Holy Spirit, David is given the ability to prophecy an event with profound accuracy that wouldn’t happen for over one thousand years!
That would be like us foretelling about the assassination of a world leader in 3022! That is the level of accuracy we are dealing with here, but we could never do that, only God could do something that astounding.
Speaking of God, the Holy Trinity, is also broken down for us today; The Holy Spirit giving David divine wisdom to see into the future. The Father who sent His Son into time to pay our debt, and The Son’s final moment on the cross as He was paying our debt.
Absolutely remarkable revelation of God Himself to us today though His Word.
