Today’s Psalms remind us that God looks after the needy and afflicted, Christ’s resurrection is proof of that. These prophetic words given to David by God show us what Christ says in His second coming:
Psa 22:23 Praise the LORD, all you who fear him! Honor him, all you descendants of Jacob! Show him reverence, all you descendants of Israel!
Psa 22:24 For he has not ignored or belittled the suffering of the needy. He has not turned his back on them, but has listened to their cries for help.
If we remember in the first half of this chapter, the whole Psalms focused on Christ’s agony at the cross, but now Christ has been risen up, and Christ commands us to praise, honor and fear God, because God keeps His promises, and God also hears the cries for help, God answered Christ’s cries when Christ was pleading for God to help Him, now Christ is the King of Kings, because God saw His Son’s agony and delivered Him, a temporary punishment for our sins is now His and our eternal reward!
