While today’s Psalms is panting a picture of what things will look like in the millennial kingdom, or at Christ’s second coming, it also shows us the wonders that His work has done today:
Psa 22:29 Let the rich of the earth feast and worship. Bow before him, all who are mortal, all whose lives will end as dust.
Psa 22:30 Our children will also serve him. Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord.
Psa 22:31 His righteous acts will be told to those not yet born. They will hear about everything he has done.
No other figure in all of human history has the same legacy as Jesus. Entire civilizations, as wayward as they seem to have become, were founded on Christ’s teachings, His work on the cross happened 2000+ years ago, but as the Psalmist rightfully declares, those righteous acts will be told to those not yet born. Many of us have difficulty remembering famous figures when our grandparents were alive, and that was less than 100 years ago, meanwhile 2 millenniums later, we are still following Christ. God’s Word reigns true once again!
