Today’s Proverbs reminds us that the one thing that will keep us safe, is God.  God is the beginning and the end of all things, so we get a great Word today that tells us to trust in God, because God will keep us safe:

Pro 18:10  The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.

The language used there is tower, man has always liked his towers and building them up, they have almost become bizarre idols, there was the Tower of Babel, Penuel’s tower that Gideon destroys, and even lately the twin towers.  None of these towers have lasted though, God broke down the Babel tower, Gideon destroyed Penuel’s tower and we all know what happened to the Twin Towers.  These man-made towers do not last nor do they ensure safety, but today’s Word declares that God’s is a strong tower, God doesn’t end, al these towers have come and gone, but God remains.  We Trust in The Lord, and The Lord  will keep is safe.
