Proverbs 10:21 — Wisdom vs Foolishness

2 Types of people are covered in today’s Proverbs, the wise/righteous person and the foolish person:

Pro 10:21  The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of understanding.

Many benefit from the acts of a righteous person, so a good person not only helps himself, but others benefit from his ways.  God fearing folks serve others, not just themselves, so others gain just from knowing them…again, we note that righteousness doesn’t just benefit one person, but a lot of people.

On the contrary, the verse says “fools die for lack of understanding”. Or evil people cease to live because of their own reckless ways.  Their foolishness send them to the grave, which begs the question, is it better to trust and obey God and help not just ourselves, but others as well or do we want to be like the fool, with a one way ticket to an early grave?
