A two fold Proverb that warns us against adultery today, our fleshly desires may see someone of the opposite sex and start arousing certain passions in us, maybe scratch some kind of itch, but it also brings lot of pain and anguish
Pro 5:3 For the lips of an adulteress drip honey And smoother than oil is her speech;
Sweet to the taste and music to the ears…hitting on the 5 senses, but the following verse is a major warning:
Pro 5:4 But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword.
Afterwards bitterness and pain, in other words, a couple of moments of pleasure equal a lifetime of pain.
Horrible things can happen with adulterous affairs out side of marriage; sexually transmitted diseases, broken marriages, kids that won’t talk to you when they get older, kids who see what you do and then grow up to follow your foot steps thereby ruining their own families, unwanted or unplanned pregnancies out of wedlock, and going broke paying alimony and child support, so as the verse says, the adulterous woman is dangerous and should be avoided at all costs!
