3  A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense.

4  Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.

1  Do not be envious of evil men, Nor desire to be with them;

2  For their minds devise violence, And their lips talk of trouble.

The LORD will not let the godly go hungry, but He refuses to satisfy the craving of the wicked.

Better is a dry morsel and quietness with it Than a house full of feasting with strife.

17  Don’t envy sinners, but always continue to fear the LORD.

18  You will be rewarded for this; your hope will not be disappointed.

29  Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaining? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes?

30  Those who linger long over wine, those who go to taste mixed wine.

Don’t waste your breath on fools, for they will despise the wisest advice.

Sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.

4  Do not weary yourself to gain wealth, cease from your consideration of it.

5  When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.

Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip; liars pay close attention to slander.
